Peter has been a noted, versatile musician for over 40 years on the Australian and Sydney music scene. He has worked as a freelance bass player in blues, rock n roll, rockabilly, reggae and many original bands.

Blues bands that he has worked with include Blues Cartel, The Ray Beadle Band, Cold Comfort and Lonesome Boogie.  He has worked with members of the Foreday Riders, The Last Volunteers, The Bigtop Blues Band, The Groove Kings (Canberra), Phil Manning and Chain, Jeff Lang, Darryl Braithwaite, Ian Collards, Robert Susz, Louis King & The Sun Kings with Vic Polyik, Foreign Lee & The Legionares, Louis King & The Liars Club, Dave Leslie of Baby Animals fame, Dom Turners BACKSLIDERS, El Caminos, The Jeweltones and the Pearl Noire Band.

 

As well as The El Dorados Peter currently plays with swing jump blues band “Lemon Squeezin’ Daddies, Pearl Noire Band and jazz/roots/blues band The Doyle – Bongers Downhome Trio.  He has recorded albums with Lemon Squeezin’ Daddies (Juiced One Night) live and with the Lyrebird Blues Band.

Reggae bands Peter has worked with include Rufaro, Tokolosh and Shango Reggae.

Rock ‘n’ Roll and Rockabilly bands that Peter has worked for include the internationally acclaimed Buddy’s Back –The Buddy Holly tribute show, The Jivetones, Rock Therapy, Blue Denim, The Rattlesnakes (Newcastle), Satellite V, No Brakes, Flaming Stars, jazz vocalist Frank Bennett with The Faculties and jazz great Freddy Wilson  (Sax).

Peter has played at most major music festivals in Australia including: Bridgetown Blues Festival, Western Australia 2005 Broadbeach blues festival, Queensland 2005 BIG RIVER JAZZ festival, Rockhampton, Queensland 2006, 2007 Berry Blues festival NSW, 2003 Fort Valley Blues Festival, Tasmania 2006 Mordiallic MUSIC, Food and Wine festival, Melbourne Victoria 2006, Goulburn Blues Festival 2005 2010 and 2016, the Thredbo Jazz & Blues Festival NSW, 2005 MT Beauty Roots Music Festival, Victoria 2005 Tallangatta Fifties Rock ‘n’ Roll Festival, Victoria Narooma Blues & Rockabilly Festival 2005, 2006 and 2008 and the Wintersun Festival Gold Coast (rock n roll festival).

Peter also works as a live sound engineer providing small P.A. hire to various bands, hotels & clubs in Sydney and NSW. Peter uses quality components for P.A. HIRE including RCF, QSC, MACKIE and SHURE.
